We always strive to utilize the least invasive methods in repair and restoration, and undertake such tasks only when allowed the time necessary to achieve the best results.

With expectations of advancement in technology and restoration techniques, as well as the possibility of future accidental damage, our work is generally aimed at being strong yet reversible. Finding the balance between conservation and structural integrity is what we do.

“Mike Kenney did an amazing emergency repair on my violin in less than 24 hours. I was able to perform on my instrument the very next day and it sounded as good as ever. Mike is an intelligent and adroit luthier and I am very thankful to have had him tend to my violin needs.

Mike is simply one of the most intuitive, meticulous luthiers around. So rare to find, and in such a great guy, too. Highly recommend. If there is a waiting list, there is a good reason for it. Get in line. You won’t regret it! 10 out of 5 stars!

I have known Mike Kenney for several years. In that time I have seen his remarkable skills put to use in the full range of violin restoration. The work is simply first class. But beyond that, Mike has the uncanny ability to finish the job with a great tonal set-up involving bridge and soundpost design. As a player, that is the icing on the cake.I can think of no one I would trust more, and I speak as a devotee of Rene Morel back in the day. Bravo, Mike!
